In 2013, I turned down an opportunity to go back and work in the USA and chose instead to stay home in South Africa as I believed God had given me a word to start up a new ministry.
At the time, I had been struggling to find stable work in South Africa for a few months already. I had also only committed my life to Christ 2 years before. So I was in a position where it seemed as if I was under-qualified and lacking finances and the necessary resources to do what it seemed God was calling me to do.
Nevertheless, I trusted God’s word, spent a lot of time praying and went about finding ways to make it happen. Not only did God provide work for me, but I was able to start the ministry and He provided all that was needed for it to be a huge blessing to so many people. It’s now 7 years down the line and God has taken me all over the world and has also taken the ministry He entrusted me with and made it go from strength to strength and glory to glory. Many other ministries have since sprung out of that and God has been faithful through it all. It’s amazing what God can do when we trust Him, obey His Word, and make ourselves available to be used by Him.
